the holidays
How we all start.
Ask any magician how he started and most of the time you’ll hear that he or she was given a magic set for Christmas. Time and time again it’s always been that kit that starts off a life long passion. For some of us it’s only a phase, and for others it becomes a part of us. Magic at a young age provides a way to make sense of the world as we know it as kids. a language we can speak with others. It takes a real study of the craft to learn how to speak it well. We were all just kids learning about ourselves, and magic provided a way to communicate a part of us. As we grew and practiced, the language of magic become easier and easier to speak. Through hard work and study we were able to share the same joy we got when we first saw magic. I admit, some of the world isn’t too fond of magicians, and possibly just haven’t had the right experience for them. As artists, it is our job to entertain and at most to make you feel something we tend to lose as we grow up, wonder. Most magician tend to give up along the way and settle for what just works, and never stride to move beyond the possibilities of our craft. Others seek to perfect and create new and exciting ways to deliver that feeling of child like joy. Both paths still involve their own hard work and sacrifice. It’s a never ending journey, and it all began with a magic kit at Christmas. What you see above was years of hard work and study, all designed to sell and entertain. Not just for the reasons of making a living, but for the dream of one day become a great magician. We all find our niche, and I just happen to find mine with Kids magic. Nothing else keeps me young then making kids laugh. Too many of us forget how.
